Manithan Vaanam

After a heavy decision made at the blessed waters of Sabari Koyil, the party walk back to A Blooming Drink, chatting through the streets of Kaverinaadu. While walking, Bhavannan emphasizes his suspicions about Alagan; the group agrees, but they ultimately agree that there are no better ideas. The twin's father, Venkataram, is also brought into conversation, with the twins speculating on his involvement with Murugeshwara and his brother. They eventually reach the tavern, and once they reach Nila and Bhavannan's room, Nila tells the others about the possible sighting of the late Murugeshwara and his wife Vanathi at A Sweet Neera. After hearing this, the group discuss plans and decide to sneak around A Sweet Neera. The tavernkeeper, Bindhu, knocks on the door and lets the group know that a free lunch will be provided downstairs. The party goes downstairs and feast upon rice and chicken.

After finishing lunch, Aadhi and Nila go back upstairs while Shwari and Bhavannan stay downstairs with the infant twins. Upstairs, Aadhi tries to teach Nila how to wild-shape into a mouse. Aadhi describes that magic to her always felt natural, especially while dancing. She asks Nila what she was dreaming of when Nila turned into a deer; Nila explains that she was dreaming of her paati. Aadhi asks Nila to replicate those thoughts and feelings and to try to shape-shift. Nila tries but thinks too hard and fails. Aadhi then asks Nila to stop thinking so hard and to try again. Nila then succeeds, shifting into a small grey mouse with the symbol of Dhara on her forehead.

ThDownstairs, Bhavannan and Shwari talk to Bindhu, who offers mangoes to the babies and tries to teach Bhavannan how to successfully feed them. After a few minutes, Bindhu hands Harshan to Shwari and excuses herself. Shwari then hands Harshan to Bhavannan and leaves the tavern to buy makeup, hair extensions, and a saree. When she returns back to the tavern, Aadhi runs downstairs holding a mouse-shaped Nila, and the group make their way towards A Sweet Neera.

Once they arrive, Shwari and Nila enter, fully disguised. When they enter, the tavernkeeper welcomes Shwari and does not detect Nila as a mouse. Shwari and the tavernkeeper exchange polite statements, and Shwari asks the tavernkeeper if she knows anyone by the description of Murugeshwara and Vanathi. The tavernkeeper immediately answers, claiming that Shwari is looking for Alagan and Machaandi, and that the two visit the tavern every other night. Somewhat satisfied, Shwari excuses herself and roams upstairs, finding a VIP lounge, and, on the third floor, a hallway of rooms. Shwari releases mouse-Nila, who scampers into all the rooms but finds nothing, almost as if no one resided in the rooms. The two go back downstairs, meet up with Aadhi and Bhavannan, and set back for A Blooming Drink.

As they are walking back, Shwari explains everything she and Nila found and that, for now, the best course of action is to go back to A Sweet Neera the next day. They enter A Blooming Drink, and, when they get back to the room, Nila shape-shifts back to her normal self; the party then rest from their day of manthiram and mischief.
