"The attention she holds in a space is unmatched. Her hair, her clothes, her individualism . . . you cannot help but stare at her. Perhaps its in awe, or in shock of her non-conformity. Yes, readers, you may admire her. But I must implore you to think of the root cause of her individualism. Is it confidence . . . or the lack thereof?"

KADHAI

Born in the year 1161 RM, Leeneshwari opens her eyes underneath the Bharani thiram and is raised by her parents Venkataram and Vaikyanavi alongside her twin, Aadharshanaa and their elder brother, Maghumithren. Growing up, the twins stuck to each other consistently, their schooling, their friends, and their lives intricately tied together. In 1180 RN, the twins decide to run away from their father, and move to Keya. They spend a few months there, Shwari working and running schemes throughout the city. However, she and Aadhi are captured due to identification forgery, and hold an audience with Raasa Murugeshwara. As the judgement befalls them, the Raasa is slain, assassinated by the twins' father, and the whole city is set ablaze. They join other audience holders, and run out of the palace. However, on the last steps, Raani Vanathi hands the group her two infant children, and asks them to protect and deliver them to a family member, and enters the flames. The party runs towards the Palani Hills, and there the adventure starts.

"Her individualism still stands, but her confidence has been tested, time and time again. She has finally begun to understand the power she can grasp . . . the question is will she be able to prove her worth, and unlock her potential."

As Shwari travels through the Palani Hills and Kaverinaadu, tensions rise between her and her twin, finding themselves at odds time and time again. As a result, her friendships with the rest of the party grow, especially with a Veyyon cleric named Haavani. However, the vaanam throws more dangers at the group, and thoughts of more power and manthiram fill her head, especially when their quest with the infants ends unsuccessfully.

"Here she stands, remade in Dhara's depiction, His blessings and demands branded into her forehead. Renewed with purpose, determination settles into her flowing veins. A vow is made, and she will fulfill, no matter the cost."

During the travels, the dangers of their adventure are rising, rumors of mirughams and raatchis terrorizing villages and cities reaches the group. Shwari, determined to fight against the evil spirits, quests towards Malai Hill, dreams pushing her towards a shrine to Dhara upon the mountain. Atop the highest peak, she communes with Dhara, and achieves warlockdom, manthiram coursing through her veins for the first time However, the cost of such a deal is to eradicate the spirit living within her twin. As she has unlocked this power, she journeys to Kaalu Kaatu and Thaanjaagam, fights mirughams in the Kaatu and rights the numerous sins and grievances her father had committed towards the Neithal Kingdom and her family, and returning the Neithal Kingdom to its rightful heir.

"She has made the vow, and is starting to regret the decision slowly. Even as she exists in the visage of Him, Dhara does not seem to notice or care. And she is starting to unravel at the seams. However, I do question her needs, for how can she expect a response when she asks calmly? If she wants His attention, she must let her rage unleash."

The final stretch of their journey takes the party to the Soodam Kingdom, where the final battles are to be held. A siege, an alternate dimension, and an exorcism lie in front of Shwari as she struggles with her faith and devotion. However, as these events transpire, she gains an immovable faith within herself, and she and Dhara come to a quiet alliance, both empowering each other, especially once the exorcism was successful, removing the evil spirit from Aadhi.

"A faithful servant of Dhara roams the lands of the Vaanam, offering help and adventure to manithan everywhere."

As the years pass, Shwari journeys throughout the entire continent, taking up odd jobs and learning the lives of many manithan upon the vaanam. The future holds many promises for her, a loving marriage, friends that cherish her, and the trust in Dhara, to treat her as an old friend in life and death.

Interpersonal Links

Listed below are quotes that Mun Mugham has written about Leeneshwari's affiliation with each character and a short description of their standings after the adventure ends.

Aadharshanaa Venkataram

  • “How much longer can Shwari bend to the whims of someone she loves? How much more contempt can Shwari hold towards her own sister, before she finally snaps?”

  • “She snapped, and the bond between them withered. However, the bond still exists, and perhaps it can be revived . . . if the mistakes made stay in the past, and not occur in the present.”

  • “Their bond has almost dissipated, their twinship barely holding on to the life its lived. Shwari must carry out her mission, and the potential consequence fills her with bitterness and dread.”

  • “Her sister has started fighting for their relationship, which fills her with immense relief. Knowing that Aadhi cares about her has changed their whole relationship for the better. However, the promise made between Shwari and Dhara sits between the two twins, creating a gap that may not be able to be crossed.”

Shwari and her twin sister have reshaped their relationship into a more helping and trusting sisterhood, patching up the mistakes and sins of the past, resulting in a blissful and content future.

Bhavannan Marathan

  • “Too shiny, too dense . . . and too happy. What must it be like, to be content.”

  • “An irritation, to say the least. Their thoughts and ideals do not seem to line up, and she does not know how to change that.”

  • “Their small bickering and teasing has collapsed into a complete silence. Her being filled with anguish and dread completely blocks her from his needs and wants, and she cannot open to him till her quest is over.”

  • “A tenuous bond has finally been formed, as they both share feelings of helplessness for the Vaanam and life, a precious understanding having been reached”

After Bhavannan's death to save Aadharshanaa, Shwari lives in eternal thanks towards him, as well as eternal melancholy, for their newly—founded friendship did not have the chance to blossom.

Haavani Aathithan

  • “A sight for sorry eyes, Haavani has become a kind and reliable friend. Their chats make the nights bearable, perhaps enjoyable even. A worthy companion indeed.”

  • “Somehow, among her multitudes of lovers and flings, Haavani shines out of the whole bunch. Her altruism and genuine care mystifies Shwari. The Vaanam is filled with malevolence and terror, yet Haavani has prevailed amidst it all, and all Shwari can do is stare in awe.”

  • “How could she be so foolish! To let a this blossoming relationship wither and die. For no good reasons either, just her perceived ineptitude. The regret and guilt shall live within her forever more.”

As the years go by, the two lovers reconnect and build their relationship on a stronger foundation. After ten years, they decide to marry and live in Marthandam.
