After a splendid day of games and relaxation, the tune of "Yaans Here, Yaans There, Yaans Everywhere" still ringing in their ears, the party wakes up in the early morning and enjoys a cup of caapi made by Maarya. After finishing the drink, they head to the Pillaiyar shrine, where Gambidevi desires to host a divine reading. As they walk up to the shrine, they notice Gambidevi cleansing the statue of Pillaiyar with milk and jasmine petals.
After multiple rounds of cleansing, Gambidevi notices the group, welcomes them, and performs a prayer ritual. She asks each manithan their full name, thiram, and father's full name, and then proceeds to bless them with a prayer chant and hand them a blessed pouch of peanuts. Kittu immediately shoves all the peanuts into his mouth as the rest of the group holds onto their respective pouches. She then asks the party to circle the shrine three times and pray during a meditative walk. The group does in silence and afterwards see Gambidevi sitting in a meditative pose, and follow suit. Then, the reading begins. Gambidevi starts the reading by explaining that the divine reading she conducts generally means that she is able to look through any yaan's eyes to find and observe a specific person. She also explains that the divine reading for Ashitham will take the most energy and that other readings desired need to happen first.
Bhavannan volunteers first, asking for a flying monkey by the name of Anjan. Gambidevi begins her reading and her eyes flash jade-green. She finds him swinging through the trees of Kaalu Kaatu. Aadhi and Shwari contemplate looking for their father, but then decide against it. Kittu asks for his nephew Vaari's whereabouts. Gambidevi witnesses him fleeing through the Palani Hills and then digging a hole in the ground and disappearing. Then the group asks for a divine reading on Raasa Murugeshwara's brother, Alagan. Gambidevi does so and confirms that he is currently in Kaverinaadu. However, she warns the party about Alagan's reputation, explaining rumors of his ill behavior. The party starts discussing this unfortunate news, but then move on, deciding to have the conversation later. Aadhi asks for a divine reading of an earrth genasi named Dharun Paayum, and Gambidevi reveals that he was on a riverbank teaching a class of children Bharatanatyam. The first divine readings commence and Gambidevi prepares the reading for Ashitham.
Gambidevi asks Nila for a description of how she last saw Ashitham, since she needed an accurate visual of her. Nila somberly explains Ashitham's navy saree and the disappointed look that painted Ashitham's face. With this information, Gambidevi begins, and after a few seconds, a jade-green wall envelops Nila and Gambidevi. Gambidevi sees flashes of Sabari Koyil and Dharma Villu. She collapses onto the floor and passes out. The party rushes to her and tries to wake her. She wakes in a few seconds but then immediately feels Bhombi in distress and sprints for her, with the group following in pursuit.
When the party reaches, they see a wounded Bhombi encircled by two lions. Combat ensues and the group valiantly defeat the lions, with Nila stabbing the last lion in the heart. In the meantime, Gambidevi attempts to heal Bhombi behind a divine wall of jade-green. After the fight, Maarya rushes in to help Gambidevi and Kittu overhears that Bhombi may have to give birth. Maarya leaves the wall and demands that the party go back to the farmstead, heal, and wait for the gnomes' return.
In the living room of the farmstead, the party rests, with Nila taking charge with medicine and Aadhi watching and trying to learn. Maarya returns, carrying a fainted Gambidevi. Maarya lays Gambidevi in their bedroom and then calls for the party to meet her at the terrace. Maarya explains to the group how Ashitham was obsessed with the Dharma Villu and that the three of them had been hunting for the bow for a decade before Maarya and Gambidevi decided to settle. Maarya also explains that Gambidevi had an unknown disease and that she was on a granted lifeline from Pillaiyar. However, every time Gambidevi exerts too much divine energy, she becomes more sick. With this, Maaya leaves to tend to Gambidevi.
With this new information, the group have a critical discussion. When to leave and what to do with the Murugeshwara twins are the two points of much discussion, with little to no agreement. After a couple of minutes of debating, the party decides to pray on it tonight and decide later. Aadhi excuses herself and leaves. Shwari follows.
Aadhi walks to the nearest body of water, a watering hole meant for the yaans. She tries to talk to "a blue lady" yet fails. Shwari catches up and a massive argument ensues. Shwari accuses Aadhi of never trying hard enough and always needing to be the center of attention. Aadhi accuses Shwari of never listening and never understanding Aadhi's need for her magic. The biggest blows are dealt when Shwari reveals that their parents were going to kill Dharun if Aadhi had not left him. More insults and accusations are thrown around until they reach a tenuous peace. The party finish their morning in somber silence, pondering on the foresight of jaded eyes.
