After the sins of the father are fully exposed, the party faces Pasupathi and his guardian: the spirit of Raatchi Raasa himself. Shwari attempts to melee fight Pasupathi, but the specter deals too much damage, forcing her to retreat. Instead she plays an ominous beat on the urumi-drum, healing her allies and harming Bodhi in the process. Bhavannan keeps attacking Bodhi, downing her and causing the star spawn to disappear. Raging, Maghu hits Bhavannan, confusion streaked across his face as his younger sister is unconscious. As a result, Bhavannan collapses but revives when Shwari plays her drum. Haavani retaliates against the apparition and creates her own spectral guardian: a sun-warrioress wielding a spear. Pasupathi reanimates the dead and a zombie Venkataram joins the fight, accompanied by clattering heard upstairs when the spell is cast. However, Bhavannan spars with the zombie, immediately downing him. The fight continues, leading to Pasupathi healing himself and Bodhi. However, Haavani casts her sun-manthiram at Bodhi, downing her again. Haavani then casts spare the dying on Bodhi, hoping that Aadhi will be the one to awaken afterwards. Shwari issues a warning to Maghu, explaining in terse terms that everyone except Bodhi and Pasupathi are friends, causing Maghu to attack Pasupathi. Shwari, Bhavannan, and Maghu combat Pasupathi, finally leading to Bhavannan piercing his throat and ending the soonyam mage's life for all time.
As Pasupathi's body crumples to the ground, Maghu demands an explanation from the party, which Shwari gives. As Maghu realizes the horror that lives within Aadhi's body, he walks to the unconscious body, cradles Aadhi's head in his lap, and whispers a blessing of Korravai to her. As the words settle, Aadhi opens her eyes, having fought for control within her mind and forcing Bodhi back to the subconscious yet again. Shwari and Aadhi walk up to the dead body, and Aadhi blasts it, screaming and wailing at it. After a few minutes, she finishes, and Shwari takes her spot, pummeling the skull until it is mere bone fragments. The twins then regain their composure, and discuss their next steps.
Maghu claims that he needs a drink, and as he leaves, he proclaims that the reason he came back was because Venkataram was refusing to burn their mother's, Vaikyanavi's, dead body. He then exclaims that the party should burn down the whole mansion, and promises to grab them a table at Ayoshom's Drink. Aadhi, Shwari, and Haavani go upstairs into their parents' bedroom and find a rotting corpse collapsed at the front door, hand outstretched almost as if she were trying to open the door. The three move the body into the bed, and then Shwari and Aadhi go to their respective bedrooms, Aadhi changing into her favorite saree, and Shwari going through her closet, yet finding nothing to change into. As the twins are preoccupied, Haavani meets Bhavannan, who went outside to cope. She asks him to help move Pasupathi's body into the tunnels, which he does. They prop him against the wall, and Haavani refuses to cremate him, declaring that his soul is so foul that he does not deserve to move on. The two then carry Venkataram's body and lay him next to his dead wife. The party prepares for the house to be burned, placing firewood in all corners and under the parents' bed. After they finish preparing, Haavani hands Aadhi and Shwari torches. The twins then light the pyre their parents lay on, and the wood piles. They reconvene with the other two outside the throne room, and watch as the house burns and collapses into a pile of rubble, the act of vengeance stinging as the Venkataram legacy perishes.
