After plotting an elaborate scheme at the Meenkaay Tavern, the party returns to the private Nambagan beach-house, feeling satisfied with their plans to overthrow Venkataram. On their arrival, they part ways for the night. Aadhi heads into the house, Bhavannan finds palm trees to fall asleep under, and Haavani and Shwari go to the shores. On the sands, the couple talks the night away, speaking of their lives and possible futures to seek. Shwari then teaches Haavani to swim, leading her to the kadal. As they wade through, Shwari makes an air bubble around Haavani's mouth, allowing her to breathe and keep under for longer. Haavani swims to the bottom; as she brushes it, the entire seaside lights up with blue bioluminescence. Shwari shows Haavani more oceanic critters, and the couple enjoys one another under the moonlight. Eventually, they leave the sea, where the two unfold their amorous feelings for each other and kiss, changing their relationship for the better. Afterwards, they head back to the house to sleep blissfully.
In the middle of the night, Bhavannan wakes to the ocean alight with sunshine. The phenomenon lasts a few minutes, during which Bhavannan prays to Veyyon. As the light dies, Bhavannan falls back asleep upon the sands.
The group awakens, bids their goodbyes to Karikala, and head to Damgadi, looking for the pirates from the night before. The party finds them at the docks and Shwari strikes a conversation with the captain. Shwari expresses the need for a blockade between Tanir and the mainland. A back-and-forth occurs between the two, where the captain asks for leadership of the royal navy. Shwari leaves the docks to rejoin the party, and Aadhi asks Karikala telepathically if he would gift the pirates the title. He responds with a no but says he will do what he can. Shwari returns to the docks and explains the answers, which the captain accepts before demanding money for planning the blockade. Shwari returns to the group once more; together they gather 75 gold to give the pirates. The captain accepts it and promises action on their part. The pirates sail off and the party joins with the bards of previous night, leaving the town of Damgadi.
They travel on the road for three hours, splitting with the bards after the trip is mostly concluded. The bards go to Thaanjaagam while the party travels to a mango forest forty minutes outside of the city. They set up camp, and, as they rest, a rustling is heard from afar and out from the jungle arrives an important earth genasi man by the name of Dharun. As the party reckon with his appearance, they reflect back on those luminuous waters, missing the relaxing times of the previous night.
