After the party gathers their thoughts from the embers that spoke, the group sits in their hut to discuss Venkataram's campaigning to be raasa. The party then spends the day relaxing in the hut, and, as the sun sets, Raji and Vash bring them a dinner of idlis and a tamarind-based fish curry. The two join the group and they all eat in mirth. Raji gifts a spear to Bhavannan and explains that the metal, blessed by Palu, enhances the spear's ability when it touches water. After dinner, Vash and Nila have a private conversation where Vash gifts her sending stones that he used with his late brother. Raji and Vash leave after dinner ends, and Bhavannan goes to the riverside to pray to Veyyon at peak sunset. After the prayer, he returns to the hut, and the party falls asleep.
In the middle of the night, Konda sneaks into the hut and wakes Bhavannan to take him to the giant crocodile. Bhavannan relents, and, as he tries to sneak out, attempts a cartwheel in imitation of Konda. However, he falls upon Nila, waking everyone else in the hut. After a few minutes of bantering, Bhavannan leaves the group and finds Konda holding her laughter in, cued by his fumble. She then proceeds to walk towards the crocodile, convinced that she and Bhavannan can kill it. However, Bhavannan grabs her and holds her up, refusing to fight the crocodile. He then carries the whining and struggling Konda to Ilanka's house. Bhavannan explains to Ilanka the situation, and Ilanka thanks Bhavannan, surprised that he did not fight the crocodile. She then wishes Bhavannan a good night, and he goes back to the hut to fall asleep.
In the morning, the party wakes up and prepares their things to leave the fishing village. Haavani walks to the riverside to pray to Veyyon, and Aadhi walks to Thooli and Lasoo's hut to leave a letter at the entrance. The group then walk to the yaan stables, mount their respective yaans and leave the town, sending a farewell to Lagaab.
