After stepping into the city of secrets, the four find themselves right in the middle of a tavern brawl. Nila immediately tries to leave the ground floor as Bhavannan weaves through the fight carrying the infant twins. Shwari joins the fight in excitement and starts fist-fighting a fisherman; Aadhi tries to leave the room as well but assists her sister while leaving. Multiple tables and chairs are broken and glass flies everywhere. A hookah-smoking woman attempts to charm Nila and Bhavannan into attacking a dancing man atop a table. However, she fails and jumps onto the table to slap the man herself. Cowering in fear, he jumps off the table, landing next to Aadhi, who then turns her eyes pitch-black to scare him away. The effect works and he climbs back on the table. Shwari runs towards Aadhi and throws a glass plate right at the fisherman's head, downing him. The drunken man that started the brawl still runs after Bhavannan, but Bhavannan and Nila make it safely up the stairs away from the chaos. Out of frustration and anger, the hookah-smoking woman conjures a storm of cold and ice, rupturing the floor with icicles and causing hail to fall from the ceiling. The brawl immediately stops and everyone departs, the drunken man the most melancholic of them all.
Shwari leaves the tavern and follows the drunken man through the streets of Kaverinaadu. He goes inside a tavern named A Tiger's Mane and Shwari peeks through the window. She sees an authority figure berating the drunken man. Feeling somewhat content with what she found, she returns to A Blooming Drink. Bhavannan and Nila, on the other hand, have gone to their room to chat and relax when the babies cry out of hunger. Appeasing them with their clothing to teeth on, Bhavannan and Nila leave the tavern in search of fruit. After much discussion with Shwari (whom they encounter just outside) about where to go, the two of them end up going to A Sweet Neera, where the tavernkeeper sells them some bananas. However, Bhavannan and Nila sense an eerie atmosphere within the tavern, so they leave quickly. They head back to their room in A Blooming Drink, smash up the fruit, and feed the babies in peace.
Aadhi sits on the steps of the tavern waiting for Shwari to return. The tavernkeeper dejectedly looks around her destroyed tavern and the two of them sit in silence. Shwari returns and the three of them slowly melt the icicles and idly chat throughout. After, the tavernkeeper thanks them and leaves the twins alone. Aadhi urgently walks towards the stairs, exclaiming that she needs to talk to Shwari immediately, and the twins head up to their room. Once the door closes, Aadhi rapidly explains the condition of her magic and that the "blue lady" that lives within her soul is the lover of the Raatchi Raasa and wants revenge. After this, Shwari quickly explains that Aadhi needs to stop using her magic; Aadhi somewhat agrees, but then Aadhi reinforces the idea that she does not know how to live without her magic. After this, the argument explodes into Aadhi trying to slap Shwari, but Shwari catches it. The two twins end up fist-fighting, wrangling each other on the ground. At some point, Shwari tries to hit Aadhi with a candlestick, which prompts Aadhi to magically force sleep upon Shwari. Aadhi runs to the other room as Shwari slumps onto the floor.
Nila and Bhavannan open the door to Aadhi, cerulean-teared, and Aadhi immediately demands for someone to switch rooms with her. However, before Nila and Bhavannan can respond, Shwari awakens from her charmed slumber and immediately runs towards the other room, grabs Aadhi by her hair, and tries to drag her out. However, Aadhi stops both of them by grabbing the door frame. Nila, in shock and stress, casts her second spell ever, conjuring a petal fall of daisies upon the twins. The twins stop in confusion and their fight ceases. Shwari leaves immediately, nigh-sprinting downstairs. Aadhi explains to Bhavannan and Nila what the fight was about and the true nature of the "blue lady". Bhavannan, who has been the most good-natured, turns cold and demands that she stay away from the babies and find somewhere else to sleep.
Shwari runs into the tavernkeeper at the bottom of the staircase; she was awoken from the ruckus the twins caused upstairs. Shwari apologizes, and, right as she is about to leave, the tavernkeeper invites Shwari to her room, explaining that it is too late to go anywhere. Shwari takes the offer and follows the tavernkeeper out. Aadhi, on the other hand, walks pensively upon the dam and towards the Sabari Koyil. As she enters, she notices a halfling man in priestly white robes tending to the manithan sleeping. He notices her, welcomes her in, and calms her nerves with a hug, infusing a dharmic manthiram into her hair. Afterwards, she lays upon the cold marble steps of the Sabari Koyil, pondering the tavern brawls that transpired.
